We have just discovered a new beach to hang out at! We drive south through the newly opened 13 km tunnel to Ilan County and take a left! We were driving to a surf spot called Daxi and noticed the great surf here, so stopped to check it out. It is a nice beach to hang out on, lots of rocks and rock pools and even a coffee shop for my java fix! There is a beautiful mosque right on the beach, surrounded by high walls on the road side. The locals grow their vegies right on the beach between the concrete bank and the erosion protection concrete blocks. You can see the gardens in the foreground. Dan went out for a surf down by the rocks in the top pic and then took Zef out for a quick surf... there was a big group of people walking on the beach, they gathered around to watch Zeffie riding! Evie enjoyed playing in the sand while it was sunny, then crashed in the pack when Zef and I went beach combing! Isn't she beautiful!?
