Wee Evie Rose is now dubbed Evie Knievie due to her skill (or lack of) riding her little pink motorbike down the stairs! She went head over heels and scraped her poor wee nose on the carpet. Her wrist was also sore... the doc said it was just soft tissue injury twice, as did another one I took her to. Finally got her to an ortho guy and after 4 hours in the hospital he showed me that yes indeed the radius and ulna were fractured. Grr was I mad! Poor Evie had been waking at night screaming and we weren't managing the pain correctly as we thought she was ok. She is a determined little girl though and after a couple of weeks, by the time we saw the ortho, she was starting to use her arm again a bit and her nose was all healed up! One of the teenagers Dan coached last year thought she had chocolate on her nose! If only!!!
